Letter to Parents/ Guardians

11th May 2020

Monday 11th May

Dear Parent/ Guardian,

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well at this time and managing to enjoy the pleasant weather we are having.

As yet we have had no official notice of when the school is to reopen or if the sacraments of Communion or Confirmation will go ahead this school year. As soon as we become aware of any information I will forward this on to parents.

This week’s home school work is now available on the school website. The teachers have created an area for each year group with a great variety of resources ranging from videos, internet links and more to help to support the children at home. I wish to encourage all the children to spend time everyday using the resources that have been placed in the home school area.

The teachers have been regularly monitoring the children’s participation on Accelerated Reader and Mathletics and are delighted that many of our children are continuing to work hard and reach their potential. The teachers are keen to encourage all the children in Primary 4-7 to use Accelerated Reader and Mathletics and they will be posting up their achievements on the school website.

Thank you for your kind messages and lovely photos posted on the comments area of the website. We are all delighted to see the children so well and enjoying taking part in their activities at home.

The NI Schools App is available on the home page of the school website and it is important that parents download it to their phones to ensure clear communication lines are maintained.

Hopefully, I will have some clear timetable for you soon on school arrangements. All the school staff pass on their good wishes to the children and their families and we hope to see everything back to normal before too long.

Yours sincerely

Seamus McCreesh

Principal
