A Chapter of Success: World Book Day 2026
World Book Day was a resounding success, and we are bursting with pride at the creativity on display. A massive well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and a heartfelt thank you to our parents; your support in piecing together those wonderful outfits and encouraging a love of reading truly makes this day special.
It was an incredibly busy day! One of the highlights was our paired reading session, where P7 and P1 spent time sharing stories together. It was wonderful to see all classes so deeply engaged; the children listened carefully and took part in some truly thoughtful discussions about their favourite characters. P7 enjoyed the experience so much that they are already hoping to have their P1 reading buddies back in the classroom very soon!
The pupils really enjoyed engaging with the Book Cover Competition. The standard was so high that our teachers faced the nearly impossible task of selecting just one winner from each class. We wrapped up the festivities with a vibrant celebration assembly to recognize all that hard work. A huge congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who participated with such spirit!
